Did you know that the squames (the dry flattened surface skin cells) are held together by cell bonds that can be dissolves with the right about of fruit based acids? And then the squames just float away with washing. But it is not so straightforward. The acid must reach a certain pH for it to work, and the buffering base cream must not allow the acid to penetrate too deep. A delicate balance act which we have perfected in EXFOLIANT.
Based on this principle, this exfoliating lotion, containing Vitamin C, Glycolic and other alpha hydroxyl acids, removes dead surface cells gently and effectively, revealing the newer and younger skin beneath. This step in the mlab system of skin care improves penetration of treatment products like the Effec-C and Hydrate. By itself, Exfoliant helps to smoothen rough and damaged areas of the skin, leaving skin smooth and revitalized.
